“Purpose transforms mistakes into miracles and disappointments into testimonies.

First, Paul was a great organizer. He both organized “the systematic persecution of the Church in Jerusalem and received letters of introduction from the Jewish high priest that permitted him to persecute the followers of Jesus in Damascus (see Acts 8:3; 9:1). Second, he was a leader, as was evident in his role in the stoning of Stephen:
When the blood of your martyr Stephen was shed, I stood there giving my approval and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him (Acts 22:20; see Acts 7:58; 8:1).
Third, Paul was a skilled tentmaker who liked to work with his hands (see Acts 18:3).
Fourth, Paul was a com municator. By speaking and by writing, Paul declared what he believed. (Much of the New Testament is the result of his communication skills.) “Although Paul’s natural talents and skills were initially used in opposition to his God-given task of carrying the Good News of Jesus to the Gentiles, his purpose did not change. God changed his name but not his purpose. Purpose remains true no matter “what path a person or a thing takes to achieve its intended goal.

  1. I have often seen miracles come from the most unlikely situation. Many times in life, I have seen God work through people that no one had faith in. Also, I have wittnessed very bad situations propel people into lucrative professions they would otherwise have never experienced.
